There are always some silly discussions going on, too, plus info on our products (DVDs, soundtrack CDs, etc.) and an entire section devoted to horror and sci-fi movie reviews which, although written by DR LADY himself, are not nearly as silly as you'd expect. One request: When you visit for the first time, please type in a few words saying that you're a horror host or fan or a mask collector or a friend of DR LADY or something, just to let my sister-in-law Carol (who basically runs the site) know you're someone legit and not some pesky spammer looking to inundate our (dis-)members with unwanted junk emails. (We switched to this format, requiring people to be "let in" before they can post, a couple of years ago after more than one incident involving porn dealers spamming our membership list.) Gunga's Drive-In: Featuring drive-in classic horror, sci-fi, cult and other traumatic head injuries. Monster Madhouse: The home of Karlos Borloff and his entire crew of monstrous characters! Vampi: A vegetarian member of the living dead. Gore Tribute Page: Modesty aside, this is a great fan page! Dr. Destruction's Crimson Theatre: a Cable Access Show, featuring movies, short subjects, cartoons, guests and skits. Crimson Theatre is broadcast in SE Wisconsin, NE Illinois and NW Indiana with other locations added frequently Sites for & About Magazines Rue Morgue: This is a classy and incredibly informative magazine from our friends up north in Canada. It's published every two months and the depth and quality of the articles is unsurpassed! The website is also definitely worth a tour. Bad Taste Magazine: I think the title says it all, but it's really worth a good look! MarsDust.com: This vonderful Internet horror magazine claims to be the "Loudest Voice of Fandom" and I think that after visiting their site, you'll agree. Classic Horror: This is another example of the fine Zines you'll find on the Internet dealing with the weird world of Horror! Astounding "B" Monster: This is the coolest web magazine I've ever seen dealing with the monsters from those great "B" movies. Horror-Wood: Simply one of the BEST horror related Electronic magazines on the Internet! B-Movies Quarterly: This is a new and potentially wonderful addition to the world of magazines dedicated to those wonderful films we know and love! B-Horror.com: Here is one of the Internets more interesting zines that includes fascinating articles and an incredible set of links. Scary Monster: A clever and intriguing e-zine that shouldn't be missed. I also have contributed some vocal greetings. Check it out! Strange Magazine: The title say it all about this intriguing electronic magazine! Really Scary: This is one of those sites where the title says it all. Sites for & About Writers The Chancery House: This is the brain child of writer Lisa Mannetti. It's a great big old house full of rooms to discover and explore. Omega 9: Here's a neat site that lets you help write a cooperative science fiction story! Midnight Marquee: They publish fiendishly good books on horror films and their stars. They also have many cool links! Book HQ: This is a great resource for finding...you guessed it...BOOKS! Sites for and About Artists: Horror Art by Matt Cail: From the creator of one of our featured web comics comes a site all about his artwork. Imagine: This site displays artworks that envisions humans with the trait of various animals. The pictures are truly stunning! Vlad Quigley: This is a great site to look for and purchase some very nice artwork that's just in the right vein! Duncan Long Art: This is a very well done site showing off the talent of Duncan Long who tackles a wide variety of Science Fiction and Fantasy Art! The Art of G. Fenton: Dinosaurs almost come to life in the Papier Mache art of this sculptor. Carrolltoons: Created by a former Langley Punk, this site provides some very unique cartoons. Joe's Cartoons: Neat things to do with Flash technology! Vampire Sites: Cult Vampire Magazine: This site is hosted by the BBC and you can tell there is some money behind it. But there is also a lot of great stuff related to my favorite subject....Vampires! The She Bitch: Ok now that I have your attention, I want to recommend this vonderful British horror site! Sarco's, Blood Bar & Grill: A clever site where vampires feast! Dark Commandos: This is a regular on going web video presentation about a group of vampires who work undercover of Uncle Sam! It is really well done. Goth Sites: Gothic Portal - This is a rather extensive portal into the world of Dark Goths Culture, including some history and humor! Movie Sites: FrontlineFilms.com: The home of Writer/Director and Producer Don Glut, who brought you "The Mummy's Kiss" and "Countess Dracula's Orgy of Blood!" TimeWarpFilms: This is the new home of famous Baltimore Film Maker Don Dohler where you can learn more about his current and upcoming film releases. Brain Damage Films: The folks that brought you "Terrortoons," "Hollywood Vampyr," and "Massacre," along with lots of other indie films. Brimstone Media Productions: A very prolific maker of independent sci-fi and horror films! Eagle Films: A top quality computer graphics and film company owned by Philip Cook the man you brought us "Despiser!" Wray Film Productions: The people who made and are distributing 13 O'Clock Theater with Forrest J. Ackerman. Hidden Features: It turns out the many DVDs have special features that are not readily apparent. But this site tell you how to find these otherwise lost gems. Savage Film Group: Rock Savage and his fearless band of Maryland film makers now have their own domain. Chekc it out today. Ain't It Cool News?: If you want the latest rumors and stories about upcoming films, this is the only place to go....before they shut it down. Horror Movies & Programs: This link will take you to a place that shows the TV schedule for all Network & Cable horror shows. Planet Krulak: This is the website for Washington, DC, film maker Jeff Krulak and is loaded with full length versions of many of his films. Hammer Screen Savers & More: This site has a fabulous collection of themes and screen savers based on the Hammer horror films that will make you computer ghastly! Ed Wood Fan Appreciation Page: This title says it all for the man who brought us "Plan 9" Dr. Shatterhand's Botanical Garden: This James Bond site features interviews and lots more concerning the world of 007! Music Sites: Midnight Syndicate: This is the home of Midnight Syndicate, creators of some of the finest "Dark" music I've ever heard. It's perfect for a Horror House or just plain old listening! Lucan Wolf Productions: This is the home page for Lucan Wolf and his latest CD "Night World." This is the best horror party dance music I've ever come across. It will be playing at MY Halloween party. Forbidden Crypts of Haunted Music: If it's scary and has been recorded, you'll probably find the recording, information about it and be able to down load an mp3 copy! Rock Hard Horror: A very interesting zine about rock hard horror music! TV Sites: Kaptain Kidshow: This site give a very complete and fascinating look at all the kid's shows that aired in the Washington/Baltiomore are during the 50's, 60's and 70's. Check out Bozo and Captain 20. Solarguard: If you remember the days of "Tom Corbett", "Rocky Jones" or "Space Patrol" you will want to visit this huge and fascinating site. The House of Frightenstein: This was a wonderful little TV show from the 70's that's being rediscovered again. Visit this very complete sight for a bit of nostalgia! Horror Sites: The Many Faces of the Frankenstein Monster: Here's a fabulous site about the most famous monster ever created...The Frankenstein Monster! You just have to tour this place!
Horrorfind: So, you're looking for something, anything, in the world of horror? This is where you start! Dark Echo: This is a fine horror site that is bursting with news, and information about all things horror. Draculatour: So, you want to visit the old country, where the real Dracula roamed? The best way is with this annual tour that includes everything to make a horror fan's heart bleed! Gorelets: For those horror fans with Palm Pilots or similar devices take a visit to this site that provides short horror poems that fit perfectly on your handheld device. House of Pain: This site sounds as good as it looks and it looks great with wonderful content about horror! Jan's Courtyard: This is one of the unique sites I've ever visited. You can take a self guided tour of this vonderful castle and enjoy the annimations , music and other presentations! Sci-Fi Sites: The Sci-fi Channel: The rather impressive site for "The Sci-fi Channel." Sci-Fi Station: An interesting little site dealing with, what else, science fiction stuffs. Haunted House Sites: TerrorOnThe Square: One of the finest haunted houses in Nashville. It comes complete with live web cams! Dark Links Guide: This is a pretty good start in your search for a Haunted House near you. Haunted Theme Parks: This is an entirely different cauldron of newt eyes! The title tells it all! Real Haunted Houses: Now for the REAL stuff. Find an authentic haunted house in your area. Funny Sites: Fresh Victims: A very funny site for a very funny comedy troup including Wes Johnson. Don't miss the Shatner School of Acting video clip! Snicker Doodles Fun Page: A lot of humor that bring you no horror....unless you know the person behind it! (Another inside joke) Mis-Magic's House: This is a veritable fun house of magic and illusion that will take you hours to fully enjoy! Strange Sites: The Body Farm: Makes you have a few second thoughts about visiting Tennessee! The Museum of Hoaxes: Find out about some of the greatest hoaxes of today and of all time! Check them out! Ultimate Haunt: This is a really great Halloween site brought to you by the experts at Knott's Scary Farm! Countess Blood: One of the first places you should stop when preparing for Halloween....a must! Halloween Online: This is a great resource for all things relating to this holiday! Halloween On The Net: Another great holiday resource site. Halloween Central: This huge site is overflowing with historical, fun, and even useful information and lots of other links. History & Customs for Halloween: More extensive history with graphics and music History of Halloween: Not What You Think! This site is even more extensive and gives a well researched background while dispelling several false myths. Halloween: Myths, Monsters and Devils! Very scholarly site that debunks many myths point by point. Complete but hard to follow. Dark Side of Halloween: This is really a HUGE list of links for those of you wanting still more of the history of Halloween! Halloween: This is THE site for Halloween related stuff. Bookmark it for next year! Misc. Sites: Comicvine.com: An open source encyclopedia of Comic Books! The Encyclopedia of Mythica: This is a huge depository of knowledge about all the great myths of history! If you always wanted to know about a myth, this is the place to go! Frankenstein: This site, created by the Smithsonian, is the most complete and interesting look at all things Frankenstein I've ever seen. Don't miss it! Worst of the Web: The title says it all! Ultimate Taxi: There a line in a Harry Chapin song that says something like, "it's the going, not the getting there that counts". This is the case with this far out incredible taxi in Aspen, CO. Dumb Laws: Believe it or not, there are laws on the books you just won't believe and you can find most of them right here. Internet Magic: I don't know how they do it, but it seems to work and isn't that what magic is all about. Insect Cookbook: Be daring...they're in your house anyway!
