Many
have asked what I thought of the runaway smash hit movie..."Avatar." I
went to see it on the IMAX screen in order to find out what the fuss about 3D
was all about. I have to admit that in spite of the fact that the characters
were too stereotyped, the story too familiar and the ending too predictable, I
did enjoy the film. It did not seem as long as it really is and after about 10
minutes I forgot about the 3D glasses and just accepted the realism as natural!
I now understand why it's making so much money!
If
you live in or near Orlando, or you're planning on being in the area before
April 18, I highly recommend the exhibit "Maidens & Monsters: The Art of Science
Fiction, Adventure & Fantasy" at the Polasek Museum!! I took in the exhibit
earlier this month and was mesmerized by both the fangtastic artwork and the
stories behind them. Plus, they have a Theremin on display that you can actually
